The Kapuso comedienne continued, “Pero ano siya talaga, my young self is mahilig talaga siyang, 'Hello, wala po akong ginagawa, may kailangan po kayo?' Ganoon. I'm not proud of that—gusto kong makatapos ng college.”

Chariz then recalled her on-the-job training at the Manila Broadcasting Company, where she was initially assigned to photocopy and fax documents. She said she eventually decided to look for other things to do after finding the routine boring.

Sabi ko, 'I cannot do this all day. Ang boring nito.' So lumabas ako doon sa office ni Mr. Elizalde. Nagpunta ako doon sa mga art department. Tapos nakilala ko si Santi Elizalde. May sarili siyang office doon.”

Chariz also recalled going to Yes FM and Love Radio, where she was taught how to edit and gained more experience.

“Nakababa ako ng Yes FM, ng Love Radio. Tinuruan ako mag-edit-edit. Ang dami kong natutunan.”

Chariz then reflected on how her decision to step beyond her assigned duties could have changed the course of her life.

“Naging manager ko pa si Tito Potato sa singing gigs ko dati when I was young, before ako nag-artista.

Boy responded by affirming Chariz's decision to take initiative: “Buti na lang.”
