Edward Barber has happily revealed that he is now engaged to his girlfriend, Ricky.

The actor shared the major relationship update while speaking before an audience in a video uploaded on TikTok by @olivetreeshoppp.

At first, Edward talked about how much had changed in his life since the last time he had spoken there.

He happily mentioned being in a relationship and even playfully celebrated the development.

“From the last time I was here, I am now in an awesome relationship. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. Don't tell me that God is not real,” he said.

Edward then showed a photo of himself with his girlfriend and introduced her to the audience.

However, the former PBB housemate quickly revealed that there was an even bigger update.

“This is not just my girlfriend, this is my fiancée, Ricky,” he announced.

The revelation drew a reaction from the audience, with Edward joking that some of them had gotten ahead of the story he was about to tell.

He then confirmed that he had already proposed to Ricky.

“I proposed to her, so she's now my fiancée,” the actor said.

Edward did not give further details in the clip about when the proposal happened or whether the couple had already started making wedding plans.

Instead, he included the engagement as one of several personal updates while explaining the changes that had happened in his life.

Aside from his relationship, Edward also talked about his work in ministry. He mentioned moving from youth ministry to kids' ministry as he continues pursuing his calling in the church.

Earlier in 2026, Favor Church recognized Edward among its new pastors and pastors-in-training during its Leaders Advance. The church shared that those recognized were being commissioned for ministry as they continued serving the congregation.

His decision to pursue ministry was not entirely unexpected. In a previous interview with Bianca Gonzalez, Edward had already spoken openly about finding his calling in that path.

“I really see my calling in ministry,” he said at the time, while explaining that hosting remained part of what he wanted to do.

Edward first rose to fame in 2016 as a finalist on Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7, where he formed the popular love team “MayWard” with Maymay Entrata. He later built a steady career as an actor, host, and singer under ABS-CBN, appearing in several films, series, and youth programs. Outside showbiz, he has consistently spoken about his Christian faith, often sharing reflections about purpose, service, and personal growth.
