Actor Mark Herras touched the hearts of many after sharing a heartfelt message in memory of his late adoptive father, Jun, who passed away in 2014 due to complications of diabetes.

Taking to social media, Mark reflected on the passing of time and the lasting impact his father continues to have on his life, even more than a decade after his death.
The actor began his tribute by expressing disbelief at how many years had already gone by since losing his father.
“12 years in heaven.. Ganun ka na po pala katagal nawala dad no.”

Mark admitted that there are still moments when he wishes he could simply talk to his father again, especially whenever life becomes overwhelming.
“Sa totoo lang po wala akong masabi ang gusto lang magsumbong or maglabas ng mga problema.”
However, he said he quickly reminded himself that he is about to enter another chapter of adulthood.
“Pero bigla ko naalaala mag 40 na nga pala ako this year hahaha dapat kayang kaya ko na harapin lahat ng pagsubok di ba po?”
The actor acknowledged that, while he still misses his father deeply, he knows he must continue facing life’s challenges with courage.

Mark also reflected on how becoming a father himself has given him a deeper appreciation of everything his own dad did for their family.
“Kailangan po tatay na din po ako.”
He explained that one of his greatest motivations is to provide for his family in the same way his father once did.
“Kaya gingawa ko lahat para makapag provide sa pamilya, like you dad kayo ni Papalim kung paanu po kayo nag provide, nag alaga nagmahal at lahat lahat na!”
Mark credited both his late father and “Papalim” for teaching him the value of hard work, unconditional love, and selfless sacrifice.
Their example, he said, continues to guide him as he strives to become the best husband and father he can be for his own family.
