Cup of Joe vocalist Gian Bernardino, during his guest appearance on Eva Le Queen's podcast Evangelism, candidly spoke about why he believes he is not ready to be in a relationship.

During the conversation, Gian reflected on his personal priorities and admitted that his dedication to his career could make it difficult for him to be an ideal romantic partner. He described himself as someone who is highly driven and said that his work continues to take precedence over everything else.
“Feeling ko ang hirap kong maging partner. As someone na very ambitious, ang pinaka-unang priority ko lagi ay career ko. So parang if that partner doesn't recognize that thing about you, mahihirapan kayong mag-work.”
He further emphasized that his professional life remains his primary focus above all else.

“Career talaga ang number one sa akin.”
Gian also explained how the demands of working in the entertainment industry can leave him physically and emotionally drained, making it challenging to meet the expectations that may come with being in a relationship. He said there are times when he simply has nothing left to give after fulfilling his responsibilities at work.
“[For example], I'd come home from a very exhausting gig and want to rest. And you'd demand something from me. Eh wala na akong kayang ibuhos pa.”
The singer also shared that he has no plans to enter a relationship anytime soon, saying he wants to focus on his own personal growth before making that kind of commitment. According to Gian, finding self-love and inner peace is what matters most to him at this stage of his life.
“I don’t think I’ll commit pa anytime soon kasi I’m still [working on finding] self-love and peace na gusto at kailangan ko.”
Through his frank remarks, Gian offered a glimpse into the realities of balancing a demanding career with personal relationships, explaining why he has chosen to prioritize his goals and personal well-being for now.
