Mikee Quintos has opened up about finally finding “closure” regarding her past relationship with Paul Salas, sharing that their recent conversation helped ease lingering pain from their breakup.

Mikee discussed the matter during her guest appearance on the talk show “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” which aired on Monday, May 4, alongside fellow actress Heaven Peralejo. The interview touched on personal updates in her life, including how she and Paul have managed to reconnect in a more peaceful way after their separation.
During the conversation, host Boy Abunda brought up Paul and asked about the current status of their relationship in a light and direct manner. The question prompted Mikee to reflect on where they stand today compared to the time when they parted ways.
In response, Mikee shared that things between them are now on good terms and revealed that she had recently watched Paul’s latest interview with Boy, where Paul mentioned that they had the chance to talk during Mikoy Morales’ bachelor party. Mikee confirmed that the conversation did happen and described it as calm and respectful.

She explained further that while they are now okay with each other, the emotional impact of their breakup is something that still lingers. However, she emphasized that their recent interaction marked a significant improvement compared to how things ended last year.
“I'm good. I watched his latest interview sa 'yo. And he mentioned na we were able to talk sa bachelor [party] ni Mikoy. Yes, we talked. Okay naman,” Mikee responded.
She continued by acknowledging that healing is not always immediate and that certain feelings from the past still exist, even after reconciliation or peaceful communication.
“I'm not gonna deny, it was still painful. Masakit pa rin, pero 'yung usap namin na 'to [sa Bachelor Party ni Mikoy], compared to our breakup last year, is so much better.”
The actress went on to describe the conversation as emotionally important for her, explaining that it gave her something she felt she did not receive at the time of their breakup. According to her, the recent exchange helped her express feelings that had remained unresolved for a long time.
She further reflected that she had hoped for a similar conversation during the period when they separated, but it only became possible much later. Despite the delay, she expressed gratitude that it eventually happened, as it gave her a sense of emotional resolution.
“I found myself saying to him dito sa usap [namín] na 'to na, ‘Ito 'yung gusto kong usap last year.’ Sabi ko sa kanya, ‘Ito 'yung kinailangan kong closure last year.’ Akala ko nga hindi ko na makukuha, but at least, nakuha ko pa rin,” the actress added.
As of now, Mikee appears to be in a more peaceful place emotionally, emphasizing that while the past still carries some pain, she is grateful for the chance to finally have the conversation she once needed.
