By early February, the pain became unbearable, which led them to rush her to the emergency room. From there, her mother went through multiple tests, including a biopsy, a CT scan, and a PET scan.

Ashley said the results eventually confirmed the diagnosis, but it was already in an advanced stage.

“Finally, lumabas na yung diagnosis… stage 4 na,” she shared.

The celebrity admitted that the situation left her with many questions. She said it was hard not to think about what could have happened if the illness had been detected earlier.

“So, ang daming questions na, what if na-detect earlier?” she said.

Despite these thoughts, Ashley said she realized that dwelling on them would not change their reality. She explained that what matters now is how they face the situation moving forward.

“What we can really do is just deal with it, pray na lang and lift it all up to Him,” she said.

The actress also shared how her faith helps her cope. She mentioned that she holds on to Bible verses, including Jeremiah 29:11, to find comfort and strength.

Ashley then recalled a deeply personal moment with her mother when she thought she might lose her. She said she expressed everything she wanted to say, thanking her mom for giving her a beautiful life.

Ashley said that moment stayed with her and changed how she views their situation. She now reminds herself to focus on positivity, even during the hardest days.

The comedian also shared how their roles have slowly reversed. From being cared for, she is now the one taking care of her mother and constantly reassuring her.

“No ma, you’re not a burden. You never will be,” she said.

Ashley added that the journey has been exhausting but meaningful. She said she would still choose to go through it if it means being there for her mom.
