Gerald Anderson shared in an interview with ABS-CBN News that he is not ready to enter a new relationship anytime soon. The actor said his main focus now is rebuilding his career and taking time to absorb everything that has happened in his personal life.

He explained that love usually comes when you’re not actively searching for it, so for now, he prefers to focus on work and stay driven. Gerald added that people can already see how motivated he is these days. The actor is in a new movie called ‘Rekonek,’ which is an official entry in the Metro Manila Film Festival 2025. The movie also stars Andrea Brillantes, Gloria Diaz, Carmina Villaroel, Charlie Dizon, Zoren Legaspi, and Cassy Legaspi.
Gerald has had several high-profile relationships in the past. He was previously linked to fellow actors Kim Chiu, Maja Salvador, Bea Alonzo, and most recently Julia Barretto. These romances often placed him in the public spotlight, making his love life a frequent topic of discussion.

“Kapag naghahanap ka ng love life, hindi darating yan. Darating lang yan unexpectedly. So, right now, I’m just focused sa work. Nakikita niyo naman eh. Iba yung drive ko ngayon”
Gerald Anderson is a Filipino actor, model, and basketball player who first became known in 2006 as a housemate on Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition. He became popular for his on-screen partnership with Kim Chiu, called “Kimerald,” which led to many TV shows and movies together. Some of his notable TV roles include Sana Maulit Muli, My Girl, and Budoy, and he starred in the critically praised film On the Job (2013) shown at the Cannes Film Festival. Outside of acting, Gerald is also a reservist in the Philippine Army.
Previously, Gerald showed support for Julia Barretto and her family by bringing snacks to the wake of her late uncle, Mito Barretto. A video shared on Facebook captured him arriving with a box of food, which earned praise from netizens. The wake drew relatives, friends, and other celebrities, and many expressed sympathy online for Julia and her family.
Gerald also opened up about his thoughts on love, saying the biggest lesson he’s learned is to “fight for your love.” He shared that true love is always worth holding on to, even with challenges. During the Kapamilya Chat “Drink It” Challenge, he also told fun stories about past and present co-stars.
