Actress Nadia Montenegro took to Instagram to express her deep love and unwavering support for her best friend, Lotlot De Leon, following the death of her adoptive mother and Philippine film icon, Nora Aunor.

Along with a photo of her embracing Lotlot at the wake, Nadia poured her emotions into a powerful, unfiltered message.
“Kung pwede ko lang saluhin lahat para sayo ginawa ko. Kung pwede ko lang silang awayin para sayo ginawa ko na. Kaya lang ibang tao na tayo,” Nadia began, acknowledging the pain her friend is going through and her desire to shield her from it.
She continued, “Sa kahaba haba ng nilakbayan natin… sa dami ng gyera at bagyong napagdaanan natin kahit kelan di mo ako iniwan. Kaya andito lang ako. Nakasubaybay, nakaalalay, nakahanda protektahan ka at mga mahal mo sa buhay.”

Nadia also expressed frustration at the chaos and drama surrounding the final moments of Nora Aunor’s life, writing, “Ang daming pumapel! Ang daming umeksena. Ang daming ‘nakiagaw’ ng huling sandali at oras mo sa kanya. Pero you stayed dignified, strong, and gracious.”
She emphasized that many don’t know the full story and stood firmly by Lotlot’s side, even hinting at a fiercer version of themselves if anyone dared cross the line.
“Ganun din ako bespren… wag ka lang nilang saktan. Baka magbalik ang dating tayo. Hahaha mas matapang! Nasa tama!”
Montenegro ended her message with overflowing admiration and gratitude: “Humahanga ako sayo. Napakabuti mong tao Lot. Sagad sa buto… Sobrang blessed ko naging kaibigan kita.” She also honored the late Nora Aunor, saying, “Salamat ‘Superstar,’ kung wala ka, wala akong Lotlot sa buhay ko. I love you Lot!”

She admitted that it was a painful experience for her, as she used to love singing more than acting back then. Unfortunately, her once-powerful voice could never be restored.
