GMA's 'Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho' (KMJS) shared on Facebook that Rose Manguerra Camilon, the mother of missing Miss Grand Philippines 2023 candidate and public school teacher Catherine Camilon, opened up about the details of her last conversation with her daughter before she mysteriously disappeared on October 12.

Rose recounted how one afternoon, after Catherine came home from school, the teacher told her mom that she wouldn’t be going to school for work the next day.
Catherine also told her mom Rose that she was going to meet someone. Rose became alarmed when she couldn’t contact her daughter anymore and the latter had not been online for a while.
Concerns also escalated as a friend revealed that Catherine had an alleged relationship with a police officer named Major Allan De Castro, who frequented her workplace. Rose expressed her disappointment that her daughter Catherine appeared to not have told her the whole truth. Nevertheless, Rose is praying and hoping that her daughter will come home safe soon and that the people responsible for her disappearance will be brought to justice.

“Tinatawagan ko siya hindi na ma-contact.
“Kinabahan na ako kasi kahit sa Messenger niya ang tagal na niyang hindi online.
“Sinabi ng kaibigan niya, si Cath ay mayroong kinikitang isang pulis na karelasyon niya.
“Kada punta sa opisinang laging pinupuntahan ng anak ko, ‘yun ang nagiging kasama niya.
“Ang sumagi sa isip ko, ‘Hindi pala siya nagsasabi ng totoo sa amin.’
“Gustong-gusto ko na siyang makita. Gustong-gusto ko na siyang mayakap.
“Hindi ako nag- iisip ng kahit na anong nangyari sa kanya na masama.
“Tunay ang Panginoon Diyos lang lagi ako nagtitiwala at umaasa na makakabalik sa amin ang aming anak. Hindi puwedeng palampasin ito na ganito na lang. Mananagot sila,” Rose shared.
