The story unfolded during Venus's morning commute when she hopped into a Grab car en route to a salon. While inside the vehicle, she was multitasking, handling personal admin work and making online payments using her card.
Upon reaching her destination, Venus realized that the Grab app had directed her to the salon's old location. She contemplated disembarking and walking to the new location but was pleasantly surprised when her driver, Kuya Jeremy, generously offered to take her to the correct spot. He went above and beyond by ensuring she reached her destination safely before departing.
However, the unexpected turn of events occurred minutes later when Venus received a call from an unknown number. Initially hesitant to answer, she soon received a text message from the same number, revealing that she had left her wallet in the Grab car, and the next passenger had found it.
What makes this story particularly remarkable is that the passenger who found the wallet turned out to be a sister in Christ, someone Venus had served with in their church. Venus promptly contacted the person and was astonished by the display of God's grace as she got to speak with Kuya Jeremy, the honest Grab driver who had returned her wallet fully intact.
Venus Raj was left in awe of what she views as a divine intervention. She marveled at how God watches over and cares for even the smallest details of our lives, bringing together the right people at the right time.
“Nothing is by accident. God is in every detail of our lives.
“This story happened this morning. I rode a Grab to go to the salon. While in the grab, I was doing some personal admin and was paying online stuff using my card.
“When we reached the destination, I noticed that that the grab app brought us to the salon’s old location. I wanted to go down and just walk to the new location, but Kuya Jeremy (i asked for his permission to share this) was kind enough to bring me to the exact place. Hinatid niya ako. Then he left.
“Few minutes later, a random number was calling me. I did not pick up. Then I received a message from the same number saying that I left my wallet in the grab and she’s the passenger after me and she found it.
“This woman is a sister in Christ. We have served together in church.
“I called her back immediately, talked to her while in awe of God’s amazing grace, she then put the phone on speaker and let me talk to the driver. I talked to Kuya Jeremy, thanked him, and gave him instructions. Immediately after bringing her to her destination, Kuya Jeremy brought my wallet back.
“This is clearly God showing me that He is with me literally every single moment of my life. It could have been a different passenger, why this Sister in Christ who knows exactly how to contact me? Kuya Jeremy did not know that I was his passenger because I was wearing a mask and I’m using my first name and middle name on the app. But he was honest enough to bring my wallet back, intact.
“I’m amazed at how God protect us, provide for us, and even care for the smallest details of our lives.
“I’m sharing this to honor the Lord, and to thank Kuya Jeremy and my sister in Christ!
“Maraming salamat Kuya and Ate, pagpalain po kayo ng Panginoon,” Venus said.
