Veteran showbiz columnist, Manay Lolit Solis, recently expressed her opinion on education and the right qualities of a good leader.

In one of her latest posts on Instagram, the veteran columnist said that the reaction of many in the answers of PBB teens vis-à-vis the present educational system is overrated.
“Iyon pagbubukas mata sa edukasyon dahil sa mga maling naging sagot ng mga PBB sa tanong ni Robi Domingo OA narin. Mas mahusay parin na street smart ang isang tao kesa alam mo nga mga sagot na galing sa libro pero hindi mo naman alam ang takbo ng tunay na buhay,” Manay Lolit said.
She then said that she liked the answers of some new lawyers who recently passed the bar exams.

The veteran columnist said the said new lawyers prefer leaders who have a good heart rather than a high educational attainment.
“Gusto ko iyon sagot ng mga bagong lawyers na pumasa sa bar exams, na hindi kailangan ang mataas ang edukasyon ng isang leader, mas magandang may mabuti siyang puso at tutoong gusto ang pagtulong sa tao,” Manay Lolit said.
She then reiterated her opinion that it is a kind and caring heart that makes a good leader, and not his or her formal education.
“Hindi iyon formal education ang quality ng isang good leader, iyon kind and caring heart niya. OK na meron kang edukasyon, matalino, mataas pinag aralan, meron ka na agad mataas na puntos sa laban sa buhay,” she said.
She said that she would rather go for those who don’t have fancy education but are hardworking.
“Duon na ako sa mas mababa pero masipag at ginagawa ang trabaho. Iyan ang mas sure ang pag asenso, mahusay sa trabaho, ginagawa ang dapat gawin. Sabi nga, mataas ang utak, pero mas may pakiramdam ang puso. Kaya alam nyo na,” Manay Lolit said.
Lolit Solis is a Pinay talk show host, entertainment news writer, talent manager and showbiz columnist. She was born on May 20, 1947 in the city of Manila. According to the veteran columnist, she spent her early life in a poor section of Lardizabal in Sampaloc, Manila. She has made numerous controversial remarks about known celebrities. She was also involved in the infamous 1994 Manila Film Scandal, where she induced several actors and actresses to announce different names as winners.
Lolit Solis posted online about presidential candidates Leni Robredo and Bongbong Marcos. She believes that Leni and Bongbong are the only serious contenders in the presidential race. The showbiz reporter said that Bongbong is doing well in surveys but Leni is incredible at drawing crowds for her campaign events. Furthermore, Lolit urged the public to prepare in accepting and respecting whoever will win the presidency in May.
Kris Aquino should be left alone with her choices on who to vote for in the coming elections, according to veteran showbiz columnist Lolit Solis. She said that everyone has their own choice of candidates and they should choose who they feel deserve their votes. The veteran columnist reminded everyone that the important thing is to cast their votes on election day as it is the right of every Filipino to do so. Nay Lolit also took notice of the way Kris delivered what she wanted to say as regards a certain candidate.
