"Sorry, this is not bragging but let me share with you lang things that have made me cry since yesterday.
It is the nth message I have received from someone on my IG saying thank you to me for being apart of their 2021. The common thread to them all is that by merely sharing my story, my struggles, they feel like they were able to somehow endure theirs, as well.
When I shared my story, of course I did it to help others. But largely because I needed an articulation for what really happened and also for the kind of reframing that helps me in my healing process.

So people who feel this way and send me messages like this let this be known: as you have allowed me to share my story, you also have helped me heal. You also were a big part of my journey in 2021 because you allowed me to be me and you did not invalidate my reality. There are times I can be too much and yet many of you stayed, choosing the path of understanding and love. Thank you.

Alexa Ilacad, naglabas ng sama ng loob sa backstabbing isyu ni Brenda Mage: "Sakit talaga"

In my entire life as a celeb I had not once been called “inspiring” This year, ang dami nyong tumawag sakin nun. I realised kaya kayo nainspire sakin kasi kung kaya ng isang imperfect na taong katulad ko eh di sure na kaya nyo din HAHAHAHAHA! But really, salamat sa tiwala. I treasure this. And I am committing to another year’s worth of stories. My stories and maybe other people’s stories that have the goal of making you all feel a little less alone. Because you know, we can be broken and unwell but at the same time, not be lonely. Because if you find fellows in your sadness, then there is comfort and grace and friendship in it.
(Kaya din naniniwala ako na ang taong walang brokenness ay lonely na tao. Kasi wala sya halos makakasama doon char!)
THANK YOU AGAIN TO YOU ALL. My beshies online. Thank you for being with me. HNY!!!! Let’s claim health and peace and friendship for 2022!!!"
