Janine Gutierrez denied tweeting the photo of Sen. Bongbong Marcos with his arms raised, exposing his wet underarm.

The actress said she would never post anything like that, adding that she’s not shallow.

Earlier, a netizen posted an alleged screengrab of Janine’s tweet.

It showed the photo of the actress on the left and Sen. Bongbong Marcos on the right with his wet armpits.

The post also showed an alleged caption by the actress that read: “Yuck. Baskil. Maraming ninakaw sa bayan pero, dugyot.”

The actress immediately reposted the said photo telling everyone she did not tweet such and that it was fake.

“Hey everyone! This is fake. I never tweeted this. Kung kilala niyo ako, hindi ko naman talaga katunog ito,” Janine tweeted.

She said she’s not that shallow, adding that it’s the facts about the candidate that concern her and and not the looks.

“Hindi tayo mababaw. Hindi importante ang itsura o panlabas na anyo ng isang politiko. Dun tayo sa facts lang, lalo na ngayong eleksyon,” Janine clarified.

The actress then asked her followers to watch out for fake news.

“Mag-iingat sa fake news, guys!” she tweeted.

Janine Marie Elizabeth de Leon Gutierrez, more popularly known in the Philippine entertainment world as Janine Gutierrez, is a Pinay actress, TV presenter, and commercial model. She was the guest of the talk show host for his YouTube channel and show, “The Best Talk.” Janine is among the Philippine actresses who would often voice out her opinions on certain social and political matters.

The actress has also given her thoughts on the idea that she should also join beauty pageants. She revealed that some people have been urging her to join said contests. Ruffa Gutierrez, the aunt of Janine joined beauty pageants before and became Binibining Pilipinas World in 1993. Ruffa even volunteered to train Janine on how to be a beauty queen.
