Janine Gutierrez recently gave her reaction to comments that say she should have also joined beauty pageants.

Ruffa Gutierrez, the aunt of Janine is a beauty queen, having won Binibining Pilipinas World in 1993. She went on to become the second runner-up in Miss World held in the same year.
In a previous interview, Janine revealed that her aunt has also encouraged her to join beauty pageants.
She said that Ruffa even volunteered to train her on how to talk and act like a beauty queen.
Janine, however, refused, saying that beauty pageants do not interest her and that acting is enough.
In a recent thanksgiving virtual mediacon for her new movie, the actress was once again asked about joining beauty pageants as it is now the Miss Universe season.
Like before, Janine provided a similar answer. “Never ko kasi pinangarap maging beauty queen, eh. I love watching pageants and watching Miss Universe, Binibining Pilipinas, lahat. Pero for me to join hindi ko kasi siya naging pangarap, eh. So it’s not something that I ever thought of pursuing talaga,” she said.

Janine Marie Elizabeth de Leon Gutierrez, more popularly known as Janine Gutierrez, is a Filipina actress, television host and commercial model. She was born on born October 2, 1989 to actress Lotlot de Leon and actor-singer Ramon Christopher Gutierrez. Her paternal grandparents are Eddie Gutierrez and Pilita Corrales and her maternal grandparents are Eva Rodriguez and Donald Olson. Her adoptive maternal grandparents are Superstar Nora Aunor and multi-awarded actor Christopher de Leon. She attended St. Paul’s College in high school and graduated from Ateneo de Manila University with a degree in European Studies.

Janine is also very honest when talking about her personal life. In an interview during her first guest appearance on “Magandang Buhay,” the actress said she wasn’t looking for love when she met her BF Rayver Cruz. She also said that she is very happy with her relationship with Rayver. Janine and Rayver have been in a romantic relationship for two years now.
Her honesty, however, can sometimes be a cause for embarrassment, as what happened in her vlog with grandma Pilita Corrales. While making the vlog, she was forced to reveal she had a secret crush even before she had a boyfriend. She told her Mamita, Pilita Corrales, that even before the guy became an actor, she already had a crush on him. Her grandma Pilita was apparently unaware that her lovely granddaughter even had a secret crush. The actress made the admission when asked if ever she had a secret crush.
