Janine Gutierrez revealed in a recent interview that she wasn’t actually looking for love when her boyfriend, Rayver Cruz, came into her life.

In her first guest appearance on the TV show “Magandang Buhay,” Janine said she can describe her relationship with Rayver as both happy and easy.
“Masaya. Tsaka madali lang. Palaging sinasabi ng nanay ko na dapat ganun daw 'yung hanapin mo, 'yung parang madali lang,” Janine said.
She admitted that she didn’t understand what her Mom was talking about at the time. “Hindi ko maintindihan, ano bang ibig sabihin nun? Kasi 'di ba 'pag mas bata ka akala mo 'yung mga drama, 'yung mga ganyan, ibig sabihin okay 'yang mga ganyan,” she explained.
However, when she met Rayver, everything that her Mom had been talking about became clearer. “Nung nakilala ko si Rayver, sabi ko, 'Ah, ito pala 'yung sinasabi ng mommy ko,'” the actress said.
She recalled that she was okay with her life and was not even looking for love when she met Rayver. This gave her the opportunity to show who she really is.
“So alam mo 'yun, hindi ako nag-adjust. Lahat ng kabaliwan ko ipinakita ko. Hindi ako nag-effort magpaganda, mga ganyan, pinakita ko sa kanya kung ano talaga ako nang buong buo, at ngayon masasabi ko na tanggap niya 'ko nang buong buo,” Janine said.
She was thankful she had that opportunity because now, she does not have to hide or change anything from her boyfriend.

Janine Marie Elizabeth de Leon Gutierrez, more popularly known as Janine Gutierrez, is a Filipina actress, television host and commercial model. She was born on born October 2, 1989 to actress Lotlot de Leon and actor-singer Ramon Christopher Gutierrez. Her paternal grandparents are Eddie Gutierrez and Pilita Corrales and her maternal grandparents are Eva Rodriguez and Donald Olson. Her adoptive maternal grandparents are Superstar Nora Aunor and multi-awarded actor Christopher de Leon. She attended St. Paul’s College in high school and graduated from Ateneo de Manila University with a degree in European Studies.

Janine, even in previous interviews, would always take the time to say that she was very thankful that she has Rayver Cruz for a boyfriend. She said the actor has got lots of good qualities that she liked. Janine mentioned that Rayver would still talk to her even if she was visibly upset or sad.
At around the same time of that particular interview, the actress participated in a mediacon of "Dito At Doon,” where she bravely discussed the topic online “landian.” The young actress said she knows what online “landian” is all about. One of the cast even admitted to doing it, though only at a friendly and shallow level. The theme of the movie “Dito At Doon” is about online “landian” or flirting.
