Maja Salvador recently revealed the role of leading lady of Gerald Anderson was initially offered to her but she refused.

Init sa Magdamag is a drama romance series that airs on the Kapamilya channel.
According to Maja, she turned down the offer out of respect for her BF, Rambo Nuñez.
Maja and Gerald were a couple way back in 2013 but the two broke up after about two years.
Before the actor, however, Maja was already in a relationship with Rambo, though the two broke up before she and Gerald became officially a couple.
During an interview with G3 San Diego, the actress revealed why she turned down the “Init sa Magdamag” offer.
Maja said that after she and Rambo reunited, she made a promise to herself to be very mindful of her relationship vis a vis what she is expected of in a given role.
“Bago pa nga lang 'yung relationship namin [ni Rambo], tinodo ko na eh. As in kasi 'di ba, grabe ako sa pagpapahalaga ko sa work. So walang makakapigil sa akin if mag-kissing scene ako, love scene, ganyan, kahit 'di comfortable 'yung ka-relationship ko. I do it because it’s my work,” Maja said.
“And then, nung nagkabalikan kami ni Rambo, meron akong moment na gusto ko mag-work 'to. Baka kaya hindi nag-wo-work kasi wala akong pakialam. Kasi sarili ko lang iniintindi ko parang hindi ko pinapahalagahan yung nararamdaman ng partner ko. So 'yun 'yung nag-start na kinausap ko 'yung mga bossing, ‘I want this relationship to work. Sorry po,’ " the actress explained.

Maja Ross Andres Salvador is a Filipino actress, singer, host and producer. She was born on October 5, 1988. She began her showbiz career in 2003, playing a minor role in the TV series “It Might Be You.” After the series, Salvador then started appearing in ASAP (2003–present). She then started pairing up with other teen actors such as Rayver Cruz, John Wayne Sace, and Hero Angeles. She is currently a freelance artist. Prior to the sudden shutdown of ABS-CBN, she was under the management of ABS-CBN's Star Magic. In 2011, Salvador co-produced and portrayed the title role in the film Thelma, which earned her the Gawad Urian Award and the Film Academy of the Philippines Award for Best Actress. In 2021, after 18 years under Star Magic, Salvador left Star Magic to establish her own talent agency called Crown Artist Management.

In March, Maja established a new artist management company named “Crown Artist Management.” She made the announcement in her Instagram account and her post depicts how happy the actress is. She said that she is forever grateful for all the love that has been given to her by her Star Magic family. The actress also said that whoever she is right now, she owes to them, primarily because of their guidance and trust in her.
More recently, Maja lit social media on fire with her pronouncements in an interview with G3 San Diego. She narrated her past relationship with Gerald Anderson and her present relationship with Rambo Nuñez.
