Rabiya Mateo took to social media recently to express her gratitude for the outpouring of love and support, particularly from 2015 Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach.
Pia is one of the first celebrities to publicly express her support for Rabiya and to endorse the Ilongga beauty queen to be the next Miss Universe.
Earlier, an audio recording of a conversation between Pia and some unidentified female personalities surfaced on the net.
“Basta ako 100% Rabiya ako. Sorry na lang sabihin nyong biased ako pero yun talaga eh!” Pia said.
Rabiya was so happy to hear it herself that she immediately posted on her Instagram Stories a snippet of the recorded conversation, and captioned it with her thanks.
“Thank you Miss @piawurtzbach! 100% din na mahal kita!” the Ilongga beauty queen said.
Pia’s all-out support appeared very much different from the support expressed by former 2018 Ms. Universe Catriona Gray.
A week ago, Catriona drew flak after she seemed to have avoided endorsing Rabiya for the crown and recently dropped the Ilongga beauty queen from her top 6 preferred national costumes.
After a great degree of bashing, Catriona started mentioning Rabiya’s name in her social media postings.
