1. Senate Bill No. 1206

During the first day of 17th Congress, Pacquiao filed a bill in favor of his co-boxers. Senate bill no. 1306 aims to establish Philippine Boxing and Combat Sports Commission. As reported by Rappler, two years after lots of scrutiny, the Senate approved the bill.

2. Senate Bill. No. 1277 aka Free Internet Access Program Act

In 2017, Pacquiao co-authored the Free Internet Access Program Act to provide free Wi-Fi access in public places.

“If free WI-FI is available to the public, they don’t have to use up their loads by connecting to a mobile data. It would mean more savings for our people and, above all, it would give as ready access to information we need,” Pacquiao stated.

3. Senate Bill No. 1270 aka National Bible Day

Pacquiao filed Senate Bill No. 1270 which seeks to declare a special working holiday called “National Bible Day” in observance of Christians’ faith. Senator Joel Villanueva also co-authored the bill stating that 93% of the population in the country is composed of Christians.

“With the continuous increase in the population of Christianity in our country, I believe that the National Bible Holiday would become a catalyst that encourages the development of the moral character and spiritual foundation of every Filipino,” Pacquiao said in a report by GMA News.

4. Republic Act 10828

Pacquiao filed Republic Act 10828 when he was still a congressman. This law is known as “An Act establishing a regular district office of the Land Transportation Office in the province of Sarangani and appropriating funds”. It was signed by former President Benigno Aquino III.

5. Republic Act 10679

Pacquiao co-authored Republic Act 10679 which aims to promote entrepreneurship and financial literacy program among the Filipinos as reported by Philippine Star.

6. Republic Act 10699

Another co-authored bill filed by Pacquiao was Republic Act 10699 which was an expanded version of RA 9064 or the National Athletes, Coaches and Trainers Benefits and Incentives Act of 2001.
