According to a report by ABS-CBN News, local police investigations revealed the horrific sequence of events.
The unsuspecting student was simply standing on the roadside waiting for a Manila-bound ride when the heavy right-side engine compartment of the passing bus unexpectedly swung wide open, violently hitting the victim.
Despite being rushed to the Doña Marta Hospital, medical personnel tragically declared the young student dead on arrival.
Local law enforcement units quickly apprehended the driver following the fatal crash. Speaking on the matter, Atimonan Police Station chief Police Maj. Allan Hernandez revealed that the suspect claimed he was completely unaware that the heavy metal cover had suddenly popped open during their transit.
Despite his defense, authorities immediately filed formal criminal charges of reckless imprudence resulting in h0micide.

Taking a firm stand against operator negligence, Lacanilao passionately reminded all transport companies about their absolute responsibility to the riding and walking public.
“Bawat piyesa at bahagi ng sasakyan ay dapat tiyaking ligtas at maayos bago ito bumiyahe dahil kahit isang pagkukulang ay maaaring magdulot ng trahedya sa kalsada,” the government official firmly emphasized.
The summoned driver and his operator are now legally required to face the LTO Central Office's Intelligence and Investigation Division on November 13 to submit their sworn statements and formally defend their franchise.
Shockingly, this recent highway fatality marks the second incident in Quezon province involving a dangerously loose bus compartment cover, following a highly similar incident just last month that claimed the life of an overseas Filipino worker in the town of Guinayangan.
In other news, a female resident of Barangay Potrero, Malabon sustained severe wounds following a brutal hacking incident allegedly carried out by her own neighbor. The terrifying physical assault was fully documented by a neighborhood security surveillance camera installed along Doña Juana Street. The accused individual defended her violent outburst by claiming that the victim had been continuously insulting and taunting her prior to the attack. Relatives of the wounded resident are currently preparing to file heavier criminal cases, aggressively pushing for additional charges involving grave threats and child endangerment.

Still in other news, a heartbreaking scene unfolded in Barangay Kamuning, Quezon City after locals discovered the lifeless body of a newly delivered baby boy drifting in a neighborhood creek. Reports indicated that the tragic infant had just been born before being discarded, as the umbilical cord was found still connected to his small body. In a completely separate yet equally tragic case, another deceased newborn was shockingly recovered inside the restroom water tank of a local restaurant in Nagcarlan, Laguna. Law enforcement agencies in both municipalities are actively conducting extensive investigations to track down the people who abandoned the infants and determine the exact circumstances of their passing.
