As PhilStar’s PM (Pang-Masa) publication celebrates its 14th anniversary, its management decided to release a list for the most bashed celebrities in the Philippines. And on top of the list is Kapamilya actress Jessy Mendiola.
For celebrities, negative comments or reactions on their social media accounts have become quite a common thing for them. However, there are also some bashers or haters that are crossing the line when throwing shades at celebrities.
On the list that KAMI obtained from PM, Mendiola is one of the favorite stars that netizens love to bash. The reason? Well, it is traced back to the time when Luis Manzano and Angel Locsin ended their relationship.
For some haters, they tagged Mendiola as the third-party who ruined Manzano and Locsin’s love story. But these accusations were strongly denied by both Manzano and Mendiola.
Fortunately, Mendiola’s haters have laid low in criticizing the 25-year-old actress. Mendiola, on the other hand, is happy with her one-year relationship with Manzano.
Another celebrity who is also a favorite among social media trolls and bashers is none other than veteran comedian and TV host Joey de Leon. In recent weeks, de Leon was lambasted on social media for his insensitive comments on depression.
He was also criticized for his Dead Sea post, which many assumed as an indirect jab at the drowning incident of Hashtag member Franco Lumanlan. Aside from Joey, another de Leon has joined the list of the most bashed celebrities — Bb. Pilipinas International 2017 Mariel de Leon.
Mariel has yet to become a true-blue celebrity but her parents — Christopher de Leon and Sandy Andolong — are among the most respected actors in the entertainment industry. However, Mariel became the most hated beauty queen after netizens accused her of having a penchant for “pagsawsaw sa mga issues.”
Queen of All Media Kris Aquino is also not exempted on the list. In fact, every post that Aquino posted on social media comes with negative comments from netizens but she always has the best response to them.
Also part of the list is PCOO Asec. Mocha Uson. She became one of the most hated personalities because she reportedly propagates fake news.
Other celebs who are named on the list include Nadine Nustre, Maine Mendoza, Tito Sotto, Maxine Medina, Manny Pacquiao, Heart Evangelista, Kris Bernal, Arci Muñoz and Sef Cadayona.
