OFW seeks help after employer threatens to sell her

As some overseas Filipino workers seem to find their success and stability while working in other countries, others are having a miserable life dealing with their abusive employers.

A 28-year-old OFW from Saudi named Rieza Bagni Daquitan is one of the latter.

Rieza cried for help in a video posted by Facebook user Ghell An Mclisse Ayala on Facebook as she shares how her employer threatened to sell her to another and does not want her to come home to the Philippines despite already having a finished contract with them.

Rieza said in a message:

"Ayaw ako pauwiin kahit tapos na kontrata ko at gusto nila ako ibenta sa iba para maibalik yung gastos daw nila po. Tumawag ako kahapon kay sir Dong sabi sarado na ang agency namin at wala siyang ibang sinabi at sabi niya magpatulong daw po ako dito makipagusap yung mga kakilala ng amo ko na mga Pinoy."

"Wala po kaming ibang malapitan, di po namin alam kung paano po ako makakapagcontact sa embassy at polo dito sa Saudi po. Humihingi po ako ng tulong. Dahil natatakot po ako na maibenta ako sa iba di malaman ng pamilya ko at baka di na po ako mocontact. Kinuha na o sim net ko. Baka po kunin pati sim number ko dito sa Saudi po. God bless po at umaasa po ako sa inyo na sana matulungan niyo po ako."
