“I started at a very young age. I really had to sacrifice a lot. I sacrificed my childhood. Siguro nawala din iyong konting freedom or allowance to commit mistakes growing up in front of everyone.

Andrea explained that growing up in the public eye meant having less room to make mistakes. Unlike children who can learn from their experiences privately, she had to navigate her personal development while people were watching and forming expectations about her.

Despite these experiences, Andrea made it clear that she does not view her career solely through the sacrifices she made. She recognized that working in show business also gave her and her family opportunities that might otherwise have been difficult to attain.

“I’m still trying to figure things out. I got to travel around the world. I get to inspire many people.

During the interview, host Boy Abunda asked whether she had ever felt resentment toward the circumstances surrounding her childhood and career.

Andrea admitted that she did experience some hurt feelings at the time. She recalled looking at other children and wondering why they could enjoy certain things while she had to prioritize providing for her family.

“Aaminin ko po, during that time of course medyo may hinanakit ako. Ako hindi ko ma-provide for myself because I need to provide for my family.”
