Ruru's new project, Hand of God, is a movie that is currently competing in the Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival (Cinemalaya 22).
Directed by Mark Duane Angos, the film follows a military lieutenant in Basilan who uses football to bond with locals, including a 10-year-old child soldier. The Kapuso actor stars as Lieutenant Edgardo Reyes in the film.
