A bus transporting university students got into a deadly crash with a minivan.
The tragic accident took place in northern Malaysia today, Monday, June 09.
At least 15 people died, including 14 students and one bus attendant; 13 were declared dead at the scene, while 2 passed away at the hospital.

Thirty-three others were hurt in the crash, with seven of them reported to be in critical condition, based on a report by Inquirer.net.
The students were reportedly coming back to their university after an Islamic public holiday over the weekend.
“It looked like the bus had lost control and hit the (minivan) from behind,” said Perak State Police Chief Hisam Nordin.
According to the Perak state disaster management authority, some of the victims were able to get out on their own, while others were thrown out, and others were still trapped in the bus.
Police chief Hisam said that some of the injured victims had already been discharged from the hospital. However, the exact number of injured who were still in the hospital was still unknown.
According to the same article, most of the victims were between 21 and 23 years od.
“The journey was fine until I suddenly smelled something like burnt rubber or brakes,” 22-year-old, Wan Muhammad HanifahWan Azman (an animation student) said.
