Ricci Rivero could not help but clap back at a basher’s rude message addressed to him.

On X, formerly Twitter, the basher published a post instructing Ricci to stop watching UP Fighting Maroons' UAAP games and do his laundry instead.

The basher’s post came after Ricci became trending for watching the recent UP Fighting Maroons vs. La Salle Green Archers game together with former beauty queen and Los Baños, Laguna Councilor Leren Mae Bautista.

“MAGLABA KA NALANG PLS WAG KA NA MANOOD NG UP GAMES @_ricciiirivero,” the basher’s post reads.

To which Ricci frankly replied, “Ah wala pumapansin sayo sa bahay kaya dito ka hahanap ng papansin? Lol as bida bida.”

Born May 25, 1998, Ricci Paolo Uy Rivero, or Ricci Rivero, is a Filipino basketball player who is also an endorser for numerous brands and companies. Recently, Ricci signed a two-year rookie deal with Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He used to be in a relationship with Kapamilya actress, Andrea Brillantes, but the two called it quits, with Ricci confirming their break-up on June 2023.

Ricci Rivero tackled his breakup with Andrea Brillantes in an episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.” Among the questions asked of the athlete was about Los Baños Councilor Leren Mae Bautista being dragged into the trending split. The basketball player then debunked the claims that the politician and beauty queen was the reason behind the much-talked-about breakup. Ricci also told Tito Boy that he and Leren have no romantic relationship.

Ricci and Leren recently came under the spotlight after an alleged photo of them at a shopping mall was shared by a netizen. In the photo, Ricci and Leren were spotted wearing face masks, with the basketball star even wearing shades and a cap. A side-by-side photo of Leren for comparison with the said picture was even dropped online as well.
