Ricci Rivero was the guest on Monday’s episode of Boy Abunda’s program, “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.”

During the interview, Boy asked Ricci about Los Baños Councilor Leren Mae Bautista, whose name was dragged into his breakup with Andrea Brillantes.

“Wala pong kinalaman dito si Councilor Leren,” Ricci said when he was asked whether Leren was the reason behind the breakup.

He went on and explained that he met the politician and beauty queen a few weeks after he and Andrea decided to part ways.

“We met kasi nu'ng outreach na, yun yung May 26. So birthday ko po yun na parang outreach kasi ginagawa ko po siya every year. So ever since naman nung first year college ginagawa ko na siya.”

The Asia’s King of Talk then inquired, “Magkakilala si Leren at saka si Andrea?”

To which Ricci answered, “I don’t think so.”

“Palagay mo ba, and this is speculative, palagay mo sa isipan ni Andrea na naniniwala siya na si Councilor Leren ang dahilan ng inyong paghihiwalay?” Tito Boy queried.

“Ako, Tito Boy, hindi,” the athlete replied.

Boy further asked, “Nagliligaw ka ba kay Councilor Leren? Mayroon ka bang relasyon kay Councilor Leren Bautista?”

“Wala po,” Ricci quickly answered.

Ricci Rivero recently confirmed the rumor that he and Andrea have broken up. According to Ricci, he is sorry for not making it public at an earlier time. The star athlete also asked the public to allow him and Andrea to keep private the details of their split and to avoid making false accusations.

Last April, Andrea Brillantes and Ricci Rivero marked their first anniversary as a couple. The actress took to social media to share a glimpse of their anniversary celebration.
