Danica Sotto, the elder sister of Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto, expressed her full support for her younger brother as he seeks a second term as local chief executive.

Both are children of popular comedian, actor, and producer, Vic Sotto, though they have different moms.

Mayor Vico, during his first term, became one of the most popular local chief executives in the country.

He is well-loved by his constituents and would have been considered for a higher post if not for his young age.

His parents, Vic Sotto and Coney Reyes, accompanied Vico when he filed his Certificate Of Candidacy (COC) today.

As is customary among candidates, Mayor Vico, along with his parents, posed for photos while holding his COC.

In a show of support, Danica posted this photo on her own Instagram account.

“God bless you! Mayor @vicosotto May the Lord guide you every step ofthe way,” Danica’s caption read.

Mayor Vico’s opponent in next year’s elections is his own vice mayor, Iyo Bernardo.

Victor Ma. Regis Nubla Sotto, better known as Vico Sotto, is a young Pinoy politician now serving as Pasig City Mayor. He was born on June 17, 1989 to actor Vic Sotto and actress Coney Reyes. He first entered politics when he ran for a seat on the Pasig City Council in 2016. He won the election as an independent and served a term in the city council.

The young mayor also found support in Pauleen Luna, the wife of his father, Vic Sotto. The celebrity mom expressed her support for the Pasig City Mayor regarding his reelection bid. She assured Vico they would always be there for him.

Mayor Vico has declared he will be frugal when it comes to campaigning for his re-election as Pasig City mayor. He said that he would rather be called "stingy" that be called a thief. Mayor Vico believe that candidates who spend excessive campaign money might also look for ways to recover their expenses if they won.
