Karen Davila happily shared to her followers on Instagram the news that she received a “Silver Play Button” from the video sharing platform, YouTube.

Posting a photo of her holding the “Silver Play Button” plaque, she expressed her gratitude to God and her subscribers for making it happen.

The veteran broadcast journalist narrated that when she created the channel, she did not know what content to create.

“When I started YouTube 5 months ago, I was a bit scared. Being a broadcast journalist for 28 years now, I was unsure of what kind of content I can create that youtube viewers would love,” Karen wrote in her post.

The veteran journalist then thought of sharing inspiring life stories and at the same time, show her lighter side and what she really is like every day.

“I wanted to share inspiring life stories & show the lighter side of me, what I am like everyday when I am not doing the news or political interviews on Headstart,” she further wrote.

Karen then expressed her belief that everyone can learn from each other’s stories.

“I am a believer that we can all learn from each other’s life stories and be inspired by them! Thank you my dearest subscribers for joining me in this wonderful journey. Thank you LORD. All things are possible only because of you,” the veteran broadcast journalist said.

In the next photos, she introduced her editor and other members of her YouTube channel team.

She then ended her post with three hashtags, #karendavilayoutube #silverplaybutton #livegrateful.

She also recently went into YouTube content creation. Karen was born on November 21, 1970 in Manila, Philippines. As journalist, Karen has received a number of international awards. She also holds the distinction of being one of People Asia Magazine's People of the Year in 2013. The Philippine Senate also cited her as among the Outstanding Women in the Nation's Service (TOWNS).

In a separate vlog of Karen Davila, she visited the place of Gigi de Lana, the popular YouTube sensation. Gigi showed the veteran broadcaster their studio, where they do the actual YT videos. Their studio was actually the garage of their manager, converted into a studio. The size of the studio actually surprised Karen.

Karen Davila became very emotional upon watching the “goodbye video” of Kuya Kim Atienza. The popular resident weatherman of ABS-CBN’s TV Patrol did his last appearance with the news program, which ended with Kuya Kim bidding everyone goodbye. The resident weatherman recalled how he first started with TV Patrol 15 years ago. Kuya Kim will reportedly transfer to GMA Network and has started recording a new show there.
