An online seller was caught by the raiding team from Manila's Special Mayor's Reaction selling cellphone packages but actually contain rocks, based on GMA News' report.

The raiding team caught the illicit operations being conducted in a warehouse in Paco, Maynila.

Upon opening the products that have already been packed and looked like they're about to be shipped out, they saw that what they contained were all rocks.

It isn't just one package but were actually a lot of packages.

The labels on the packages were also "cellphones."

According to the report, the employees at the warehouse said that they will not be sending the packages with the rocks to customers, and that the recipients of the package were all employees of the said warehouse.

They also explained that they are doing the said "modus" so that they could increase their number in terms of online count when it comes to the number of products sold so as to entice legit buyers.

The seller reportedly has 36 accounts in different online selling platforms.

As per the report, the e-commerce website Lazada said that it will be investigating the incident.

With the ongoing pandemic, online selling has eaten a huge chunk of the market share. Unfortunately, there are some sellers who take advantage of customers.
