A footage showing a huge crowd flocking to SM San Lazaro to get vaccinated has gone viral online.
According to CNN Philippines, a large number of people rushed to the said mall to get control numbers for COVID-19 vaccination following the spread of false information that unvaccinated individuals cannot go out for essential trips or receive cash aid during ECQ implementation.
As per Rappler, the crowds forced the city government to halt inoculation operations at SM San Lazaro on Thursday.
Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno then posted on Facebook an update on the alarming number of people at various inoculation sites due to the said false information.
