Ogie Diaz gives credit to ABS-CBN for being able to meet his wife Mommy Sowl

Ogie Diaz, 51, has just penned a touching birthday greeting for his wife, Georgette del Rosario or Mommy Sowl, on his Facebook account.
On Wednesday, August 4, KAMI learned that the Kapamilya actor had a unique birthday greeting for Mommy Sowl as he gave credits to ABS-CBN for their love story.
In his online post, Ogie wrote that back in 2000, he had to work at a comedy bar after waiting to be given a project under the Kapamilya network.

"OA daw ako bilang Kapamilya. Eh wala na nga akong show o teleserye, mahal ko pa din ang ABS-CBN. Eh, nung year 2000 nga, nawalan din ako ng work sa ABS-CBN, imbes na malungkot, ginawan ko ito ng paraan. At sa pagkakataong ito, lalo kong minahal ang ABS-CBN."
According to Ogie, he had to work as a stand-up comedian even though he was not at the level of Ate Gay, Chokoleit, or Pooh.
"Yun bang ninenerbiyos kang sasampa ng stage tapos hindi mo alam reaksyon ng audience mo kung natawa sila o nakornihan sa mga hirit mo sa stage. Niyakap ko na lang ang trabahong yon kesa ngumanga sa paghihintay na magka-show sa ABS."
However, Ogie revealed that his worries about being a stand-up comedian dissipated because of one customer.
"Buti na lang kamo, habang nagpapatawa ako on stage, eh merong isang guest/customer doon na nilalakasan ang pagtawa para makarating sa akin at maiparinig sa audience na nakakatawa pala ako."
He then revealed that the customer was none other than his wife, Mommy Sowl, who even invited her friends over to laugh with her.
"Kaya gusto ko lang batiin ang guest/customer na yon, dahil kaarawan niya kahapon, happy, happy birthday Mommy Sowl! Thank you for giving me a family. Ikaw ang di ko akalaing darating sa buhay ko at ang lima nating anak. Love you, ma!"
At one point in his post, Ogie wrote that if he had been working under ABS at that time, he would not have crossed paths with Mommy Sowl.
"Kaya imadyinin nyo, kung hindi ako nawalan ng work at tuloy-tuloy pa rin ang trabaho ko sa ABS-CBN that time, definitely hindi ko mami-meet ang babaing magbibigay sa akin ng pamilya."
