Nadia Montenegro has earned praises from netizens after openly talking about her eye condition in her latest interview.
On Wednesday, July 14, KAMI learned that the veteran actress had a sit-down interview with the one and only, Ogie Diaz.
During the interview, Ogie asked Nadia what she felt when her vision was being taken away from her.
It can be worth noting that the actress is partially blind in her left eye, sharing in previous interviews that she has a detached retina.

"Nads, ano naramdaman mo nung parang, pilit na binabawi yung paningin sayo? Dahil syempre, pinaka-importante, mata. Anong nangyari?" Ogie asked.
According to Nadia, it began back in 2008, "2008. Nagising ako, umalis ako ng bahay, tandang tanda ko biglang nawala. Nawala yun paningin ko sa kaliwa. As in black lang.
"Dinala ko yung sarili ko sa ospital, baka raw may bitbit ako na mabigat or something na napunit yung retina ko. So pinaoperahan, nakatatlong surgery na yan.
"Naka-eleven nang Lasik yan, pero talagang wala na. Hindi na siya makakakita. Ginagawa na lang namin ngayon is nagme-medications na lang ako, drops, para mag mukhang normal."
The veteran actress also added, "Dito lang ako nakaramdam na totoo pala yung depression, totoo yung lungkot."
She then recalled that she had to learn everything again due to her condition, "Talagang nagbago ang buhay ko. I had to learn everything again on my own."
Despite her condition, Nadia continues to be positive, "Life goes on, isa lang naman ang nawala, may isa pa eh."

Nadia Montenegro is a Filipina actress who starred in several movies and teleseryes including; Playhouse, Maria Mercedes, Toda Max, and Dyesebel. The veteran actress is also the mother of Ynna Asistio.
