Catriona Gray recently shared a sentimental revelation on her Instagram. The beauty queen opened up about her heartache over leaving her parents in Australia.

The talented singer bravely posted a photo of her looking heartbroken which she captioned with, "What saying goodbye looks like." According to the actress, she had to keep her emotions in as she bid her parents farewell at the airport.

"When I said goodbye to my parents at the airport, underneath my mask I kept smiling. Although it trembled. I didn't want them to see. We hugged saying "see you soon". But this pandemic makes a once easy thing such an uncertainty...when?...how? When will we be together again?"

Catriona further shared that as soon as she was no longer visible to her parents, she could not help but shed tears as she wondered when she'll be able to see her family again. After all, the pandemic has placed restrictions around the globe that made it harder to travel from one country to another.

"I felt the emotions spilling over but didn't want them to see, so as I rounded the corner through the passenger terminal finally out of their sight, I let the tears come."
"I contemplated whether or not to post this. But this is something raw and real. I'm so grateful for the time I had with my family. And now it's back to counting down the days, the sunrises, the sleeps until we're together again."

Catriona also had a meaningful message to her followers. The beauty queen reminded people to never take the time they have with their loved ones for granted.
