Dennis Padilla was featured in a recent episode of GMA’s “Reporter’s Notebook”.
In the said documentary show, the actor and comedian discussed about the challenges he faced when contracted COVID-19, which include financial stress.
He said his hospital bill reached P1.2 million after being confined in the hospital for two weeks.
“Ang ginawa ko, 'yung mga bestfriend ko, 'yung iba artista, hindi utang, hingi. Hingi talaga kasi hindi ako magkapag-promise na mababayaran ko. So I said, ‘pahingi’,” he narrated.
“Marami rin tumulong sa aking mga kapwa ko artista, pero mas maraming tumulong sa akin na non-showbiz.”

He likewise added, “Pinoproblema mo na yung sakit mo, tapos financially iisipin mo. So dalawa yung stress mo.”

Earlier, Dennis revealed that he has tested positive for COVID-19. He likewise recalled how he drew strength from his children, including Julia Barretto.
Dennis also guested on Julia Barretto’s vlog on YouTube. The two had a meaningful conversation as the actress asked her father some questions she had never asked him before. Among the topics they talked about was the comedian’s COVID-19 experience. Dennis could not help getting emotional while narrating to Julia about the time when he thought he was going to die.
