Candy Pangilinan opened up to KAMI about her failed marriage with her ex-husband, who cheated on her and left her and their son, Quentin, many years ago.

According to Candy, she was able to move on from her ex-husband through the power and help of God.

“Prayers. Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit says the Lord. I honestly, can't do it alone. It was with the help of my spiritual mentor that encouraged me to move forward and be free with forgiving,” Candy shared.

She also revealed that even if she has already forgiven her former partner, she has not forgotten what he did since it serves as a valuable life lesson for her.

The actress also explained that forgiving someone is not for the other person’s benefit but for the healing of the person who got hurt.

“Forgiving others also include forgiving myself... yes, i have long forgiven. I did not forget, because I want to remember it for the lessons I've learned. Forgiving is not for the other person. Forgiving is freedom for the person who forgave,” she said.

Furthermore, she bravely confessed that she had some faults too on why their marriage broke apart. The comedienne said that she cannot blame it all on her ex-husband since it takes “two to tango” in a romantic relationship.

“I also feel I cannot put all the blame to him, it always takes two to tango,” Candy told KAMI.
