Jake Ejercito, in an interview recently on “Magandang Buhay,” revealed that he is trying to be the best dad for daughter Ellie Eigenmann.

The actor admitted that while it is true “mommy knows best,” this doesn’t mean daddy will not try to catch up with how mothers care for their kids.
“I agree naman na momshie knows best but siyempre hindi rin pahuhuli ang mga popshie, hindi ba? Hindi rin papahuli,” Jake said during the interview.
Jake is thankful that he has a good relationship with daughter Ellie and that his co-parenting arrangement with Andi Eigenmann, Ellie’s mom, is effective so far.
During the interview, Jake recalled the days when Ellie came into his life, adding that he was studying in Singapore at the time.
“I was finishing my studies. Kaya memorable sa akin, hindi ko siya makita. I was stuck there; I had to finish my studies,” Jake said.
He revealed that he has this deep longing to be with Ellie and at some point, he already cannot tell the difference if he is lonely or having a separation anxiety attack.
“I was only 21. Parang medyo bata but yeah it changed my life completely, talagang 180 degrees,” Jake said.
When the video of Ellie greeting her dad was shown, Jake was visibly emotional and looked very proud.
“Hi, Daddy! Thank you for everything and thank you for giving me things. I love you so much, bye,” Ellie said in the video.
When asked for his message to his daughter, the actor said that he just wants her daughter to know that she’s unique and special.
“Nandito lang ako to support her. I’ll be rooting for her. She’ll always have me,” Jake said.

Jake Ejercito is the son of former President Joseph Ejercito Estrada with actress Laarni Enriquez. He was born on March 27, 1990. Jake is the father of Adrianna Gabrielle Eigenmann Ejercito, better known as Ellie Ejercito, with Andi Eigenmann. He has starred in several movies like Coming Home, Mansyon, and Pamilya.

Previously, Jake disclosed the reason why he did not immediately join showbiz. He said that he prioritized his daughter, which was why it took a bit of time before finally deciding on becoming a celeb. He said that back then, he was not very sure what to do with his life, being a young dad and all. He then revealed that when he was growing up, he was exposed to two different worlds, one was the world of politics and the other the world of showbiz.
He also flaunted on social media the bonding time he had with daughter Ellie Eigenmann. He uploaded a video and photo where Ellie seemed to be getting a hair makeover. In his online post, Ellie seemed to be having her hair colored by professionals as well. Moreover, Jake posted an adorable selfie of Ellie during the said hair makeover.
