Sen. JV Ejercito took to Facebook and announced that his father, former president Erap Estrada, is already negative of COVID-19.

My father is now negative for COVID. He will be transferred to a regular room from the ICU in a few days.

Erap was brought to the hospital approximately two weeks ago after his children noticed that he was having difficulty breathing.
When he was tested, it was found that he was positive for COVID-19.

Previously, Jinggoy Estrada released the latest medical bulletin update on his father, Joseph Estrada on his Facebook page. The ex-senator wrote that his father's condition is stable and that his kidney function has been improving. On April 6, 2021, Jinggoy reported that Joseph Estrada needed to be placed on a mechanical ventilator due to his pneumonia worsening. Fortunately, Jinggoy has recently stated that the former president's oxygen saturation is steadily improving.
Sen. JV Ejercito revealed that Pres. Rodrigo Duterte has called and asked about his father, former Pres. Erap Estrada. The senator, through a Facebook post, said that the call that the President made to them means so much. He also expressed his surprise that the President called him up. He also said that the call further strengthens them in the midst of what their father is going through.
