- In what seemed to be a life and death situation, the delivery rider managed to save the child after she fell

As a delivery rider, one would expect that their day would only be filled with taking care of and delivering products to the customers.

However, that was not the case for Nguyen Ngoc Manh, the 31-year-old delivery rider who is now being dubbed as a 'superhero' in Vietnam.

On February 28, KAMI learned that Manh was sitting inside his car that was parked near an apartment complex at along Nguyen Huy Tuong Street when he heard a child crying nearby.

The cries were then soon accompanied by multiple screams and shouting which prompted him to roll down his window and look around.

He then saw a toddler trying to climb over the railing of a balcony on the 12th floor. In a report done by VNExpress, Manh proceeded to climb over the two-meter wall to save the child.

"I scaled the wall and saw that she could fall onto the metallic roof of the house used to store electric generators for the complex, so I tried to climb on top of it," he said.

The child eventually fell the same time Manh slipped on the roof so he flung himself at her to save her. Manh handed the child to the authorities and learned that he also sprained his arm afterwards.

Manh was soon then dubbed as a 'superhero' which he also commented on, "I don't see myself as a hero. I just want to do good." Moreover, even though various have tried to send him money and gifts for his good deeds, Manh has decided to reject all of them.

"Some have sent me money via my phone number. This disorientates me. I don’t want to receive any money I haven't earned by myself."
