Liza Soberano tweeted that she did not like the poster of the movie “Tililing” because it seems to treat mental health as a joke as the actors on the poster are shown with funny facial expressions.
Despite not liking the poster, she is hoping that the movie will be able to spread awareness about the realities of having mental health issues.

On social media, the movie’s director, Darryl Yap, responded to Liza’s criticism of the movie poster. According to Darryl, audiences will understand the meaning of the poster once they see the whole movie.
He said that he and his actors take the subject matter seriously and that they will not fail Liza’s hope that their project will enlighten people about mental illness.
“Ang iyong pag-asa na sana’y makapagbigay liwanag ang aming pelikula sa pagpapalawak ng kaalaman sa pangkalusugang pangkaisipan ay hindi masasayang, HINDI KA NAMIN BIBIGUIN.
“Ang aking mga artista sa pelikulang ito ay nagdaan sa mga pagsubok na nagpatatag din sa kanilang kalusugang pangkaisipan, sigurado kaming hindi nila tatanggapin ang isang proyektong ikapapahamak ng kanilang prinsipyo at pagkatao; Matatalino ang aking mga artista, at matapang ang kanilang direktor.
“Kapag napanood niyo na po ang #Tililing ay mauunawaan ninyo bakit ito ang titulo, bakit nakalabas ang kanilang dila; at bakit namin tinitindigan ang kalidad at mensahe ng pelikula,” Darryl stated.
