Jessy Mendiola and Luiz Manzano revealed that the criticisms they received when they were starting together affected their relationship and even caused some fights.

In the December 31 episode of “Magandang Buhay”, the newly engaged couple shared some of the challenges they faced in their relationship. One of these was the negative comments thrown at them by bashers when their relationship was only starting.
The couple admitted that as humans, they would get affected by what the people were saying against them.
“Maraming beses din kasi noong nagsisimula din kami, 'di ba, naba-bash kami at kahit hindi naman nila alam ang totoong nangyari or ‘yung kwento, parang naniniwala sila sa mga sabi-sabi lang.
“Oo, sige, 'us against the world', pero ‘pag marami nang nagbabato sa inyo nakaka-apekto na rin.
“May nararamdaman din kami. Tapos ‘nung time na ‘yun, napag-aawayan na rin namin.” Jessy revealed.

Luis added that no matter how much they tried telling the truth, their bashers would always find something to throw at them.
“Kahit na ilatag naman namin kung ano ang totoong nangyari, kahit na ilang beses naming ipaliwanag kung ano talaga ‘yung sitwasyon noong nangyari ang mga bagay-bagay, ang taong naghahanap ng mali talagang makakahanap ng mali.” Luis said.
However, Jessy revealed that, recently, the public is starting to accept them.
“Nakakatuwa din, kasi, ngayon naman, nakikita nila na totoong masaya kami and tumatagal kami.
“May mga dating bashers na nagme-message sa amin na ‘sorry, binash ka naming noon, binash naming kayo noon, pero nakita ko kung gaano kayo kasaya ngayon, kaya naging fan na ako.’” she shared.
The bride-to-be added that she is happy now.
“Happy na ako kasi nakita na nila ‘yung totoong kami.”
Jessy and Luis trended recently when they revealed that they are already engaged. The two have been together for four years, and the start of their relationship did not go smoothly since it faced criticisms.
Luis was previously in a relationship with Angel Locsin and the public speculated that they broke up because of Jessy.
