- A good Samaritan gave 10 kilos of rice to a group of homeless people on the street, not knowing that the huddle of individuals was comprised of two separate families
- The rice was given to the woman who was carrying a baby and who has another child, but the old man took it and sauntered off
- A passerby, and the man who gave the rice, tried to intervene, telling him to just divide the rice
- Instead of submitting, he started punching the plastic, threatened, and thereafter kicked the rice, spilling the 10 kilos on the street
A video of an old homeless man who kicked 10 kilos of rice on the street because of an argument over the rice with a fellow homeless woman has gone viral.
It started out with a guy who shared rice with a random group of homeless persons he saw. He did not know that the group was not made up of one family but of two separate families.
An argument ensued after the woman with the child put the rice in her 'kariton', and the old man took it away.
The woman, while carrying her child, tried to follow the old man, and the good Samaritan and another passerby tried to intervene.
When they caught up with the man, he kept arguing about the rice, that the guy should not have given rice anymore.
With the impending threat of kicking the rice, the passersby even told him that he could have the rice, but he was fuming mad, that he kicked it, spilling 10 precious kilos of rice on the street.
The homeless would always need good Samaritans to help them. Previously, at the height of the lockdown, DLSU opened its doors to 61 homeless people, providing them shelter during the quarantine.
In another story, a man gave a homeless a free haircut and a makeover so that he could work in his shop, getting them out of the streets.
Good Samaritans would always be around the corner, ready to help a person in need.
