Vice President Leni Robredo is a proud mother to her daughter who recently graduated.

KAMI learned that Tricia Robredo just finished her dual degree at the same time.

In a Facebook post, the Vice President apologized for being a proud mother to her daughter.

“Finally, it’s official. Apologies for being a proud mother,” she wrote.

In the same post, VP Robredo revealed that her daughter was able to finish her double degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health.

Tricia also made a social media post about her graduation amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Can’t believe I’m graduating at a time like this, but I did not go through six years of medicine just to take this injustice sitting down. Now more than ever, one big fight,” she wrote.

She also thanked her family for supporting and loving her. “Thank you family for loving me and for making sure I have everything I need and for keeping up with all my sungit,” she said.

Vice President Leni Robredo has three daughters. Her eldest, Aika, finished her master’s program in public administration at Harvard's John F. Kennedy School of Government. Meanwhile, her youngest daughter Jillian is currently pursuing her biomolecular science degree at New York University on a full scholarship.

The Vice President recently joined the black-and-white photo challenge that aims to promote women empowerment.

Earlier, VP Robredo admitted that she was not physically invited to the 5th State of the Nation Address of President Rodrigo Duterte.
