- Obviously, there was no truth to it and it was confirmed fake news as there is no official announcement from Viva Artists Agency, the agency handling the career of the Pop Princess

Social media has been filled with fake news and more often than not, those who get victimized are the popular ones like celebrities.
Previously, Ogie Alcasid was a victim of a death hoax, and now, it would seem that whoever propagates such news turned their eyes on the Pop Princess Sarah Geronimo.
There was a post that circulated on social media showing a picture of Sarah Geronimo, with a caption that says there will be a big announcement along with the logo of GMA-TV.

There's even a log of the Viva Artists Agency, which handles the career of Sarah G.
Obviously, it was fake news. The only reliable source with regards to Sarah's showbiz career would be an official announcement from Viva Artist's Agency.

Many celebrities have been victimized by fake news. There are news on the death of a celeb, which would later turn out as fake news. There are also those who would be involved in some kind of accident, and would later turn out to be fake news as well.

Obviously, with Sarah Geronimo's case, people could not just be easily misled as the photos of the singer with her husband on a honeymoon went viral.
