Karen Davila subtly issued an apology to Senator Manny Pacquiao for their past interview that became controversial on social media.
KAMI learned that the veteran broadcast-journalist drew flak more than a year ago because of the way she questioned the people’s champ over his “college degree.”
It can be remembered that Karen told the then-Senatorial candidate that he might not qualify for the position since he did not earn a baccalaureate degree.

Fourteen months after the viral interview, the said journalist brought up the topic when she talked to Manny during the recent episode of “Headstart” in ANC.
She recognized the fact that there was a misunderstanding when they last spoke with each other and that many people felt like she was condescending toward him.
She also mentioned that it was never her intention to belittle him or become rude during the conversation, as to how those many netizens were claiming.
“The last time we had an interview… this is my personal effort to let you know, there was a bit of a misunderstanding noong pinag-usapan natin na nagtatapos kayo ng kolehiyo,” she quipped.
“I wanna take this opportunity kasi marami pa rin po who I think misunderstand and feel na I was condescending toward you. And I want you to know, Senator Manny, matagal na po… I’ve admired you for so long…” she added.
