On March 16, 2020, President Rodrigo Duterte placed Luzon under an enhanced community quarantine to control and prevent the spread of coronavirus in the country.

Following this news, various barangays have been tasked to provide relief goods to the people under their watch.

KAMI learned that one barangay in Metro Manila has recently buzzed the online community after the people shared their "Christmas-like food baskets" on social media.

Karl Ocampo, a reporter from Daily Inquirer, shared a photo from Lester Mingi.

In her online tweet, she wrote, "How's your barangay ayuda? In Brgy. 362, Zone 36, District 3 in Sta. Cruz, Manila, residents receive "Christmas-like" food baskets containing milk cartons, pasta, pineapple juice, and cheese spread."

Aside from relief goods, pet owners also received dog foods from the chairman of the barangay, Ann Christine Abella.

The chairman herself also shared a series of photos on her social media account of their barangay's "mahiwagang balde" containing sacks of rice, loaves of bread, milk, canned goods, etc.

Ann has also received praises from netizens after her post went viral on social media.

"Iba ka talaga Direktora Ann Abella."
"Sana all. Galing mo talaga Ann."
"Christmas edition na ba 'to? 2021 na ba bukas?"
"Napakaswetre niyo na nagkaroon kayo ng chairman na masipag at inaalagaan kayo sa panahon ng may virus COVID-19."
