According to Arnel, he wanted to grab a few groceries at the supermarket after a 24-hour duty, "From my 24-hour duty, I made a last minute decision to grab a few groceries at Robinsons Eastwood before heading home. Forgive me for I was wearing my unironed scrubs from work."

He shared that the line at the supermarket was a bit long when the manager of the store suddenly approached him, "The queue at the counter was a tad long but I fell in line just like the usual.

"While waiting for my turn, the supermarket manager approached me, took my grocery basket and guided me to an open counter saying “Doc, dito po kayo sa priority counter”.

"I was very hesitant since everyone was patiently waiting for their turn and I didn’t want to cause a scene."

However, much to Arnel's surprise, he said that the people who were in the line even smiled and thanked him for helping the country, "So I replied, “Naku po ma’am, hindi na po. Malapit na din naman ako sa counter” but she insisted and carried my stuff to the closed counter beside.

"Looking back at the others who fell in line and waited for their turn, I was still hesitant to leave my spot.

"However, all of them smiled and what seemed like a “go signal” for me to go ahead. The lady in front of me even said “Sige na, Doc. Mauna na po kayo maraming salamat po sa ginagawa ninyo."

According to the doctor, the said incident made him cry, "I walked out the supermarket smiling but holding my tears (Promise naiyak ako)."

The said post elicited various reactions and comments from netizens on social media as well.

"Bakit ako naiyak? Salamat doc!"
"Thank you doc! Thank you to all fronliners! Mabuhay po kayong lahat!"
"Napaluha din ako. Salamat doc. Salamat sa manager at sa mga taong umintindi sa situasyon."
