- It showed the outline of the Manila skyline and the best part was that it was taken from Mariveles, Bataan

- Before the community quarantine, seeing the skyline may be close to an impossibility

- Many netizens expressed that while many may be complaining about the restricted movement and mobility, the environment surely appreciated the limited number of vehicles plying the once busy streets

The coronavirus pandemic may have done the earth a lot of good. For the past weeks where the number of cars on the streets of Metro Manila, as well as Luzon, was reduced, the level of air pollution was likewise reduced.

Photos of Metro Manila during the quarantine period have circulated online.

One particular photo that caught the attention of many was the one showing the skyline of Metro Manila.

This may not mean much if it was not taken from a very far point in Mariveles, Bataan.

The photo showed a clear picture of the beautiful skyline, something that could not possibly be done before. In addition, the user who took the photo used a mobile phone.

A photo, taken by GMA's News anchor Raffy Tima, also captured the attention of many as it showed the 1,821 feet Memorial Cross Shrine in Bataan.

Previously, a photo showing the turquoise waters of Manila Bay cleary awed many.

These photos show how the earth was able to rest and breathe because of the lockdown.

In a previous report by KAMI, the government faced problems when they imposed the initial community quarantine, which was elevated into the now ongoing enhanced community quarantine. It also suspended transportation causing massive problems with commuters.

The coronavirus outbreak started out in Wuhan, Hubei Province of China. Scientists believed that the virus came from an animal at one of Wuhan's wet markets. At present, the Philippines is under a state of calamity while the entire Luzon is under an enhanced community quarantine.
