Oncologist of San Juan de Dios Hospital dies from COVID-19 infection

- Secretary-General of the Philippine Medical Association posted about the passing of another doctor

- An oncologist of San Juan de Dios Hospital became the second Filipino doctor to die from COVID-19 infection

- A cardiologist was the first doctor who succumbed to death because of the pandemic

- It was earlier reported that 10 doctors tested positive for COVID-19

Another front liner died due to COVID-19 infection. An oncologist of San Juan de Dios Hospital succumbed to death Ricardo A. Batac, secretary-general of the Philippine Medical Association.

Prior to this, the Philippine Heart Association confirmed the death of one of its members on Saturday.

The country's current state urged the government to implement lockdowns all throughout the country. Metro Manila was placed under an enhanced quarantine due to the continuous transmission of the COVID-19 which first originated in Wuhan, China.

The virus has plagued different countries all over the world which prompted the health authorities to consider it a Pandemic.

Meanwhile, netizens and celebrities from the country expressed their appreciation for the front liners' sacrifices.
