Marquez, a popular beauty and makeup content creator with nearly 200,000 followers across TikTok and Instagram, was gunned down by a man who entered the salon, according to a statement from the Jalisco state prosecutor reported by Reuters.

Seated at a table and holding a stuffed toy, she shared her day with viewers.
She mentioned a stranger who had stopped by earlier with an “expensive gift” for her but left when she wasn’t there.
Worried, she noted she wouldn’t wait for their return.
Suddenly, she said, “they’re coming,” followed by a voice asking, “Hey, Vale?” She replied, “Yes,” and muted the stream.
Within moments, she was shot. The livestream briefly captured someone picking up her phone before it cut off.
