The attack was considered one of the deadliest attacks that affected civilians in the past few months.

Of the 20 deceased victims of the missile, 9 were children.

Because of the deadly attack, Ukraine immediately asked for a meeting with the United Nations to discuss the attack.

As of April 2025, the war between Russia and Ukraine continues with escalating military operations and complex political dynamics. Ukrainian forces have expanded their operations into Russia’s Belgorod and Kursk regions, aiming to ease pressure on Ukrainian border areas. Meanwhile, Russia has intensified its own offensive, mobilizing 160,000 additional troops and launching deadly missile strikes, including a recent attack on Kryvyi Rih that killed 20 civilians. Ukraine has responded by enhancing its military capabilities, particularly with the use of advanced drones to counter Russian defenses more effectively.

Despite the continued fighting, there are ongoing discussions around a potential peace deal. Diplomatic efforts, including those influenced by the United States, have led to speculation about a possible ceasefire, though major disagreements remain, especially regarding territory and Ukraine's aspirations to join NATO. Meanwhile, international humanitarian support for Ukraine continues, with major pledges of aid and development support aimed at rebuilding infrastructure and clearing war zones of mines. The situation remains highly fluid, with both battlefield developments and diplomatic negotiations shaping the direction of the conflict.
